Pierre Garçon No. 85 Indianapolis Colts Wide receiver / Return
specialist Pierre Garçon, born August 8, 1986 in West Palm Beach,
Florida is a Haitian-American American football wide receiver for
the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League.

He was drafted by the Colts in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL
Draft. He played college football at Mount Union. Garçon attended
John I. Leonard High School in Lake Worth, Florida where he was a
wide receiver, as well as a kick/punt returner. Garçon started his
college career at Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont, before
transferring to Mount Union College in the Ohio Athletic
Conference. He averaged over 60 catches, 1000 yards and 15
touchdowns every season as a Purple Raider. [edit]Professional
career Pierre Garçon was drafted by Colts in 2008 and he spent the
entire season as a backup receiver. He worked his way through the
back up competition and made the active roster in 2009. Garçon was
competing with other receiver Austin Collie for the third wide
receiver position for Colts, however Austin Collie won the
competition, and Garçon was put as the backup wide receiver.
However, Garcon beat out Collie for the starting WR spot after the
injury to Anthony Gonzalez who is out for up to eight weeks. Garçon
will be getting more playing time under Peyton Manning. Garçon has
started off the 2009 season with 7 receptions for 136 yards and 2
touchdowns, one of which was the game winning touchdown against
Miami, and the other being a fifty yard reception against the
Arizona Cardinals.
